Master degree programmes
Structure: The application-oriented master's degree programmes at Technische Hochschule Mannheim last three semesters: the first two theoretical semesters focus on deepening scientific knowledge and methods. In the third semester, you will complete your master's thesis within six months. Graduates can also attend these programmes on a part-time basis after embarking on a professional career.
Intake: Some master's degree programmes may start twice per year, while others only start in September.

Degree: With the degree of “Master of Science” (M.Sc.) or “Master of Arts” (M.A.) you also acquire the ability to do a doctorate. Biotechnology graduates have direct access to doctoral study programmes though participation in a time-limited Graduate Research Group (Graduiertenkolleg) involving the University of Heidelberg and the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ Heidelberg).
