Bachelor degree programs in Engineering, Design and Social Work at Technische Hochschule Mannheim are very practice-oriented and include hands-on experience and lab work. This way, we will prepare you perfectly for your career at one of our company partners.

Degree: Students earn the degree of “Bachelor of Science” (B.Sc.) or “Bachelor of Arts” (B.A.).
Structure: The standard period of study for Bachelor programs at Technische Hochschule Mannheim is seven semesters. This includes one semester of work experience (internship semester) with a company or another institution compatible to the course requirements. Many students take advantage of the university’s extensive international contacts to spend this semester abroad.

Degree: With the degree of “Master of Science” (M.Sc.) or “Master of Arts” (M.A.) you also acquire the ability to do a doctorate. Biotechnology graduates have direct access to doctoral study programs though participation in a time-limited Graduate Research Group (Graduiertenkolleg) involving the University of Heidelberg and the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ Heidelberg).
Structure: The application-oriented master's degree programs at Technische Hochschule Mannheim last three semesters: the first two theoretical semesters focus on deepening scientific knowledge and methods. In the third semester, you will complete your master's thesis within six months. Graduates can also attend these programs on a part-time basis after embarking on a professional career.
