Our international study programmes in Engineering are especially interesting for international students from all over the world. 

For our international study programmes you do not need any German language skills at the time of your application. You only need sufficient English language skills

International students in these degree programmes benefit from special services and activities, which will help you to be successfull in your studies and to feel at home and welcome in Mannheim. This includes close personal attention from the departments involved, a buddy programme, Welcome Days before the first semester as well as a Culture programme during the semester.

Whilst studying at Technische Hochschule Mannheim, you will also benefit from the integrated internship semester in the bachelor programmes and the numerous connections to companies in the region and beyond. This will make it easy for you to start your career after graduation.

After graduation, you will have the neccessary knowledge and language skills to kick-start your career in Germany.

  • unique, interdisciplinary foundation in General Engineering in semesters 1-4, with an emphasis is on topics in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and process engineering
  • The 5th semester is a practical semester in the German, European, or international industry, allowing students to apply their acquired theoretical knowledge in practice and establish professional connections
  • For students who choose the General Engineering focus, all courses in semesters 6 and 7 are conducted in English (specialised topics in engineering, such as process control technology or product development)
  • Students also have the option to choose the specialisations in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering in semesters 6 and 7 (in German)
Teaching language
