Deepening - thinking ahead
Would you like to deepen your knowledge from your Bachelor's degree and gain a more in-depth understanding of current developments in the profession and discipline? Our Master's degree program offers a comprehensive academic qualification in traditional and innovative fields of social work. The modular structure combines compulsory courses in theory and practice, qualitative and quantitative research, management, social policy as well as social and economic law with an extensive elective area that allows you to set your own individual focus - for example in psychosocial counseling, group work, gerontology or violence prevention.
RESEARCH - Academic development
The “Master of Arts in Social Work” degree is equivalent to university degrees and entitles you to a doctorate. Through cooperation with universities, teacher training colleges and doctoral centers, the Master's degree gives you access to doctorate-eligible institutions. The transition to the doctoral phase is already accompanied during the Master's program. Our professors can act as reviewers. This opens up all avenues for you to engage in research into the further development of social work - whether qualitative, quantitative or theory-based.
LEADING - taking responsibility
Our degree course prepares you specifically for leadership and management tasks in social work organizations and institutions. Whether project management, team leadership or strategic development - the Master's degree qualifies you for the higher civil service and for challenging tasks at the intersection of professional practice, organization and society.
